Convention Review: Eugenia
By
Christina G.
Well, even though Eugenia is my favorite character, I didn't keep the convention doll "Fine Romance", and that's only because I'm not a fan of gowns or updo's. I just wouldn't have anything I could redress her in! She was gorgeous and I did fight the urge for several days, LOL. The thing that helped me let her go was that we received a Eugenia head in one of the other hair styling workshops (she's in the 3rd picture below). This workshop taught 2 different hairstyles that you could do with your dolls. It was taught by Frank Garcia, a phenomenally talented dolly hairstylist. He specifically requested a Eugenia head since that's his favorite character too! So I was able to at least get 1 Eugenia at this year's convention.
Convention Review: Centerpiece Dolls

There were some gorgeous centerpiece dolls at this year's event! The first night we had "Smoke Signals" Dania Zarr with some amazing smoky eyemakeup and dark updo. Then we had a new character "Provacatrice" Anja, who uses the Simi (Dark Hunters) facemold and of whom many say looks like Veronique. She came with some amazing blue & black hair! A Monogram doll made the centerpiece on the final night, her name is "Smoldering" and comes dressed in an amazing wine colored gown.

I think she's adorable--I'm sorely tempted, but I already have a white-skin, large bust Sky, so I really can't justify her. Even as cute as she is. (I'm holding out for Viyol, Yami, Yulli, Cue or another Wake-up Goldie.) We'll see!
Enjoy! (And thanks for the head's up, Kayjay!)
Convention Review: Poppy Madness!
By
Christina G.
As a Poppy Parker fan, I was in heaven at this year's convention! There was a luncheon that was entirely dedicated to Poppy. An amazing centerpiece could by won by 2 people at the table (unfortunately I wasn't one), then there was the Ask Any Girl Poppy giftset that was part of the collection AND we all got a free Poppy named Tears Go By. That on top of a slideshow presentation about next year's line and Poppy's new friend Darla! I'm telling you... Poppy heaven!
First up here is the giftset Poppy. Everyone was really excited because she uses the same screening as Bergdorf Poppy, which is a very well loved doll. So as you can see she has the same eyes and eyebrows as Bergdorf, but she does have a slightly tanned skintone, which is new to Poppy. She came dressed in an ivory lace and brown satin dress. Her additional outfits were a brown pair of walking shorts with a rose cowl necked sweater and spectator shoes! Plus a boucle suit with a "That Girl" inspired hat. She also comes with a plain brown pair of shoes and brown and gold jewelry and little white gloves. She's super cute! and of course I've already taken down her hair from that under-roll, LOL, so the last shot is so you can see how long her hair is.

Convention Review: Count Adrian, Kyori & Adele
By

I just wanted to share a shot of a couple of dolls that I did not personally keep. Count Adrian Von Lamberg uses the Takeo facemold and since I don't collect Hommes, I had already presold him. The same goes with Scarlet Woman Adele, although I wished I could've stolen her outfit! I will be keeping Out of the Blue Kyori, but mine came with wonky eyes, so I will be getting a replacement from Integrity. There are plenty of pics on Flickr if you do a quick search.
