Macaw - exclusive Antoinette on sale
By
Unknown
Tonner Doll's FAO exclusive doll, Macaw, is on a terrific sale (save 40% off the original retail price!) at Toys R Us. If you love the Antoinette body and the Flights of Fancy convention from 2012 was your look, this doll belongs in your collection.
Her sale price is $134.98 (down from originally $224.99) with free 2-day shipping from Toys R Us. You can hardly pass her up!
She uses the Antoinette head and body with light brown painted eyes, and rooted red hair. She includes a red dress with red, blue, blue, green and yellow ruffled cape, and includes blue beaded earrings. She also includes yellow and blue hair decoration, and silver platform shoes. She was limited to only 100 dolls, which is a pretty low edition size!
If you want to save even more, you can go through Ebates and receive 2% cash back from your purchase. When you sign up through my link, I get a bonus, if you haven't used Ebates before (you do, too, when you sign people up!). I think you also get a $5 bonus just for signing up--active with your first purchase. And every little bit adds up! Currently, my lifetime cash back is at $222.18--however, that does include my rather excessive Ulta and Sephora obsession!

Chicline Nanuri in Tonner's Dramatic Antoinette fashion
By
Unknown

This is a recent trade acquisition, a normal skin resin Fairyland Chicline BJD with a Nanuri faceplate, face-up by 16-Bit FaceUps. I think she's quite pretty--I love her natural looking lips. I also have a Lishe faceplate for her, which is currently being painted as well.
She's wearing Dramatic, an Antoinette fashion by Tonner Doll.
You can see a few more photos of her on Flickr.

Photos added to Fall/Holiday Tonner collection
By
Unknown
Two new photos have been added to Tonner's Fall/Holiday release:
- Ruffle Rose Antoinette Basic - This basic Antoinette has green eyes, copper brown hair, and includes a pink dress and panties. LE500 $134.99
- Peachtree Street Stroll, from the Gone with the Wind Collection - This dressed doll includes a rather amazing pink and black striped cotton day dress with a satin skirt, pink crinkle chiffon sleeves and collar, and black velvet details. That outfit makes me want to start collecting historical outfits again! LE300 $234.99
I think we needed the photos to appreciate the dolls. The only doll left in this latest release on which we're waiting for photos is the mink-haired Cami, Basic Resort Stripe.
As always, these dolls can be ordered from Tonner directly, or you might choose your favorite dealer to save a little bit. I highly recommend Dreamcastle Dolls, who also offers splits (in case you just want the outfit or only the doll).

Lady Emily
By
Unknown
Another beauty from the latest Tonner convention, I had to add Lady Emily to my collection. While I don't officially collect historically themed dolls anymore (I find that the outfits aren't as versatile as I'd like, and they just take up too much room to display and store), this lady had to come home because she is a resized Daphne!
She uses a Cameo-toned Antoinette body with beautiful mink hair in a braided up-do, and painted blue eyes. Her outfit is a Victorian style, with a white, lace collar blouse, blue satin skirt, and bright red bolero with blue piping, gold accents, and ribbon trim at the shoulders.
Her accessories include pearl stud earrings, blue pumps, and a large blue satin had with red feathers and a huge tulle bow.
At the Round and Round at the Carousel Ball event, three additional centerpiece dolls were offered, all limited to 100 on the Antoinette body: Lady Catherine (pale blonde Antoinette), Lady Agnes (strawberry Duchess), and Lady Ann (raven Precarious). The souvenir doll was Lady Grace, Cami with chestnut hair, LE300. These dolls are still available to order for $199 from Tonner Doll, but are mostly almost sold out. Lady Emily is sold out already.

Shimmer
By
Unknown
The lovely Shimmer Antoinette has arrived, and I finally got myself together for a huge gigantic photo day today. She's limited to just 250 dolls.
You can see a bunch of other photos on Flickr.
Shimmer - from the 2012 Antoinette collection - uses the honey skin tone, and wears a gorgeous beige and silver lame Grecian-inspired one-shoulder gown and laced up sandals. She has delicate beaded earrings as well.
Her very simple make-up is just perfect for this look--demure and sultry. I just adore her!
Dreamcastle still has this doll in stock for $149 dress and $75 nude.

Flourish Antoinette
By
Unknown
I can't believe I haven't posted photos of Flourish Antoinette by Tonner Doll Company on the blog yet, but she slipped by!
So here she is, in all her glory. For those of you curious about her hair--she has a perfect updo in golden blonde. Her dress--simply fabulous. Her belt is separate as well.
I love her delicate makeup, golden eyeshadow with blue liner just in her lower waterline of her eye. I just love this doll.

New Cami & Jon and Antoinette by Tonner
By
Unknown
Several fabulous new additions to the Antoinette and Cami & Jon line have also been announced by Tonner Doll this morning. If you haven't yet discovered these doll for your own collection--the quality is just fantastic, and many of the outfits look just smashing on other fashion resin dolls, such as Sybarite and JAMIEshow.
I'm starting with my favorite, Shimmer. She uses a delicious honey skin tone with side glancing brown eyes and brown rooted hair, pulled back in a bump ponytail. Her facial screening reminds me a lot of Flourish (real life photos coming soon!), and her outfit will look fantastic next to Soho Sheer Cami. It's a draped lamé dress with laced up shoes, and gold beaded earrings. She's limited to 250 and retails for $174.99. I think she's amazing!
Manhattan Mood is an outfit which retails for $79.99 and is limited to 300. This mod style chiffon dress has open shoulders, and includes a white slip, black lace tights, silver earrings and a rhinestone necklace. Also included are the gunmetal grey faux leather shoes.
My oh my, I think I hear Sheilah from San Diego! New York Night is indeed a beauty. (She really reminds me of the original Cinderella sculpt for some reason--it's the outfit--it's a modern day Cinderella!) She's limited to 300 and retails for $159.99. Blonde hair, gorgeous green eyes, and cameo skin tone, she is dressed in a gorgeous white taffeta dress with light blue and silver overlay, petticoat, a white belt with rhinestone buckle, lace bolero, and white fingerless gloves, and silver shoes. Adorable!
Definitely Downtown is a new Gina head sculpt, limited to 300, retail $179.99. She has wigged brown hair with red highlights, green eyes, and the Tyler skin tone. She is wearing bronze faux leather pants, a white faux fur coat, gold stretch knit top, chain belt, and brown shoes.
Always Some Place To Go is a limited edition of 300, retail $99.99. This outfit includes a beige lace mermaid style gown with multi-colored lace accents and beaded details, rhinestone bracelet and earrings, and beige open-toe pumps.
Perfect Morning Jon is limited to 500 and retails for $119.99. She has rooted brown hair, blue eyes and the honey skin tone. She is wearing a one-piece jersey shortsuit with white taffeta bow belt and black elastic shoes.
Perfect Morning Cami also is limited to 500 and retails for $119.99. She has blue/grey eyes and red hair on a came skin tone body. She is dressed in the same shortsuit as Jon. This doll will also be available as a brunette and as a blonde with blue/grey eyes, with photos forthcoming.
Shipping dates are still to be determined, but you can preorder these dolls from your favorite dealer.

I just received a notice that Antoinette Flourish has shipped--I'm so excited!
Dreamcastle Dolls still has her in stock--and she is also available as a split (just the nude doll).
I'd also thought I'd let you know a few of the Precarious dolls are still available to preorder, including Simply Precarious, Scandal, Party Girl, and Intriguing, and a few of these are also available as splits as well. The outfit Anything Goes is still available to preorder as well, which is due to ship in the middle of next month.
Save the date for August 29--which is Tonner's Fall/Holiday release. They have promised "something for everyone"!

The Parrot
By
Unknown
Long overdue for her own photoshoot, The Parrot finally gets a chance in the spotlight.
Antoinette has long been a favorite of mine. This version has perfect red hair in spiral curls, and fabulous facial screening with over-the-top runway make-up. She wears a yellow feather in her hair.
Her dress is many layers of silk, taffeta, tulle, and lace, starting with red in colors of the rainbow, down to the bottom of her skirt hem, where it fades to blue. She's dressed all the colors of the spectrum (or a macaw parrot). Her boots are teal and buckle in three places (also zip in the back).
While she could use some earrings, which I haven't (yet) added, I think she is elegant and lovely--I think she is one of the most gorgeous dolls from Tonner Doll's convention this year. She was a table centerpiece for the Flights of Fancy banquet, limited to 100.

The Parrot
By

Oh dear. The Flock is complete!
The lovely (Antoinette) Parrot arrived this week, and she is just to die for! I wasn't going to keep all my birds, but just for a little while, I thought I needed the entire set. I'm just pathetic.
I bought the set of five (the Flamingo was the convention doll) at convention for a discounted price, and originally sold Parrot to my fellow conventioneer Carolyn. When I saw the Parrot in my post-con photos, I had a slight change of heart.
And here is my new one. I was able to snag one at the post-convention sale. What is my problem anyway? It's truly a sickness. And man, are my kitties ever tempted!

The Cardinal
By
Unknown
The Cardinal is another in the flock of birds from the Flight of Fancy banquet from Tonner Convention. She is also limited to 100.
She uses the Antoinette face and body, and has gray blue eyes, and rooted raven hair, with an addition piece of rooted bright red hair in the front, which has been twisted up to look like a hat, with a feather attached.
The Cardinal's facial screening is quite dramatic--her eye shadow is done in reds and pinks. She includes jewelry--a velvet choker and drop beaded earrings.
Her gown is reminiscent of Symphonic (just a little--with the Spanish feel), only with an asymmetrical hemline and more glitter and feathers worked into the dress.
The boa adds a fun piece for play as well. She also includes red satin pumps, and fingerless mesh gloves.

More Tonner Spring 2012 releases...
By
Unknown
From the Gowns by Anne Harper collection (am I going to have to go there?), it's another to-die-for Rococo era outfit for my cotton candy historical fashion doll collection. This is Madame de l'Amour, retail $139.99, LE150, ship date to be decided. Check out those brocade shoes! The outfit includes the wig, and the model is a wigged Carol Barrie.
The Cami & Jon collection has added a dressed doll and two new outfits to the line, including above's Just Right dressed Cami. She has new facial screening, brown eyes and the cameo skin tone, a brown velvet suit with turquoise trim, and a fun chiffon printed blouse. $174.99, LE 500, arriving early February.
Radical Red is a new outfit, which will fit the Antoinette/Cami & Jon body, and it includes a red on red dot cardigan, not shown here in the photo. Retail $79.99, edition size 300, this outfit is shipping immediately.
The other C&J outfit is Soho Jaunt, an adorable casual look with lots of layering pieces. It includes a jean jacket, pink cardigan, cream camisole, cargo pants, boots, and pink check hat. This outfit is also limited to 300, retails for $99.99 and is arriving the middle of March.
The Freedom for Fashion™ collection has added two more dolls, including Neo Tokyo, a dressed bald Yoshio doll. He's wearing a faux leather coat, molded shoes, black twill pants, white tee and a scarf. He'll arrive mid February, retails for $199.99 and is limited to 500.
Akemi is a dressed Aiko doll with mink saran rooted hair on a cameo Antoinette body. She's limited to 350 dolls with a shipping date to be announced. I love her softer look and warm color tones. Her retail is $179.99.
A new Goth Antoinette basic doll is arriving right away, retail $89.99, and is limited to 400. She uses the lily skin tone, has blue grey eyes, bright red lips and rooted raven hair.
Starshine is a new outfit for Antoinette, retailing for $89.99, LE200. It includes a jersey wrap jacket with faux fur trim, skirt, belt, gloves, necklace and sandals. (Any guesses which Antoinette that is? She's lovely with the blue eye shadow.) This will arrive mid March.
Belladonna is a new 22" American Model outfit, which includes a sleeved corset, satin skirt, embroidered head piece, ribbon necklace, lace gauntlets, and fishnets. I just noticed shoes aren't included. Ship date is to be decided. Retail is $189.99, limited to 200. Additionally, three new styles of boots have been added to the American Model line up: Prim, Proper and Specs. All are open editions and are arriving mid March. They retail for $34.99 per pair.
Penelope Cruz as Angelica also makes an appearance as a new head sculpt, brown painted eyes and mink hair. She's limited to 500 and retails for $199.99. She is scheduled to arrive in all her glory in mid February.
A new Dorothy Gale makes her debut to the Wizard of Oz line, and will ship mid February. She's limited to 500 and uses a brand new head sculpt on what Tonner calls the 16" teen body (she's wearing heels). Her hair is rooted, and all she's missing is Toto. Retail $149.99.
For Gone with the Wind fans, two new 16" dressed Scarlett dolls have been released. Both use the Vivian Leigh portrait sculpt (I'm not sure if this is different than the Scarlett sculpt). Also, both dolls' shipping dates are to be announced. Above, Scarlett's Wedding Day is limited to 325 and retails for $325.
Heartbroken is limited to just 300, and is a dressed doll retailing for $249.99. I'm really digging her up-do (similar to Royal #82) and slightly upturned side-glancing eyes. (I loved the GWTW movie, but I really haven't gotten into any themed dolls--this one, however--wow!)
Rogue (Marvel) is still to be decided on shipping and promotional photos. She'll be limited to 300 and retail for $159.99. But we do know she uses the Emily head sculpt with dark green eyes with rooted brown hair with platinum streaks.
More to come with Tonner's Nu Mood release!
