Fashionably Suited Ru Yi

My favorite JAMIEshow girl, Ru Yi, gets to model Fashionably Suited, a new fashion made by Integrity Toys for Poppy Parker Fashion Teen. It's quite cute and retro.

I love the fabric used for the suit--it's a nice heavy weight, but not too bulky. It fits her very well, too. Underneath the suit, she's wearing a satin navy shell. The necklace broke before I even got a chance to put it on, unfortunately, but it's still wearable, and I can probably fix it. The purse feels Chanel-inspired--in fact, the entire look feels sort of classic Chanel to me.

There are also navy gloves included with the outfit, not shown here. They'd add a lot, but also for a lot of effort, which I didn't care to put into this photo shoot.

New from Integrity Toys: Poppy Parker Fashion Teen

I'm surprisingly delighted with the announcement of the latest Poppy Parker Fashion Teen line. These 16" dolls from Integity Toys, designed primarily by David Buttry, are adorable. The inspiration behind this collection is: Paris on a grand scale!

Sunny Splash is a basic dressed doll, limited to 300, for $120. She will be arriving soon--the second week of October (hooray!). She has lavender eyes with rooted lashes, and brown rooted hair in a side wrapped ponytail. Her two-piece bathing suit is adorable--with ruffles and a high-waisted bottom. And her accessories are fabulous: a beach bag, hat, sun glasses, beaded sandals, beaded bracelets and earrings (because Poppy doesn't go anywhere not decked in jewelry--that's why we love her!), and a towel. The color scheme is super cute!

Fashionably Suited is also limited to 300, $140, and will also be arriving in the second week of October. She has light ash rooted brown hair and brown eyes with applied lashes. I adore this outfit! It's a pink tweed two-piece tailored suit, with a navy blue camisole and a matching scarf. She's also wearing navy hose, gloves, hat, and pumps. Her statement necklace, bracelet and understated earrings keep her from looking too overdone. Of course, no outfit is complete without the perfect purse--which looks like a tiny Chanel chain purse.

Ma Chérie is limited to 300, retails for $140, and will be arriving the second week of October as well. This look reminds me a little of Foto Fab, only in a taller size. She has strawberry blonde hair in a braided updo, and green eyes with applied lashes. Her outfit is a satin cocktail dress with black lace overlay, belted at the waist with a bow. Finishing touches include gloves (not shown), drop earrings, a bracelet, clutch, veil, and t-strap shoes.

Last but not least, Floating Dream retails for $140, is limited to 300, and is arriving the second week of October. Poppy has her platinum hair styled in a 1960s era partial updo, with blue eye and applied lashes. This big event gown has a fitted corset style bodice and a ball gown skirt with multiple layers. Her jewelry is understated--pearl drop earrings and an unusual pearl necklace and matching bracelet. She completes her look with a clutch and matching pumps.

I'd like to note that these dolls have the same size body as Tulabelle. They are slightly smaller than FR:16 dolls. And I've found that the fashions fit Fairyland Chicline dolls rather perfectly. I am thrilled with this release!

Poppy Parker Fashion Teen - new release

Also released - It's Poppy Parker Fashion Teen. She's 16" tall with applied lashes, great articulation, and she doesn't have super positive reviews on many collector blogs, apparently. Personally--just adding my two cents--I think she's cute, if more on the anime and less realistic side. And her outfits are pretty amazing.

I adore the detail of the clothes, actually, which happen to fit Fairyland's Chicline BJD body perfectly--right down to the shoes. 

Four dressed dolls were released with an October 2013 estimated delivery and $140 retail price. The dolls have rooted hair and applied lashes.

Above, it's The Glad Game. She's blonde with green eyes, and has a sweet printed dress, matching hat and tote, white gloves, flower jewelry and blue pumps.

I quite like the outfit from One Fine Day. She's wearing a sophisticated white printed polka dot dress, white gloves and red pumps. Her accessories include a red train case, matching hat, sunglasses, bracelet, earrings, and hat. This doll has dark blonde hair and blue eyes.

Magic Moment features an evening look with an auburn-haired doll with aqua eyes, a shimmering leopard print evening gown with a belt, faux fur wrap, faux leather gloves, gold and black shoes, gold clutch and black and gold earrings.

Winter Wowzers! reminds me of a mod Barbie fashion, and features a raven-haired doll with blue eyes. She's wearing a yellow knit sweater under a spotted coat, black stirrup pants, faux fur trimmed boots, yellow earrings, ear muffs and yellow gloves.

Tulabelle update from Integrity Toys

Attention, 16" doll collectors and Poppy Parker fans: you'll not want to miss the upcoming DOLLS Magazine February 2013 edition for new information, additional photos, and an interview with Tulabelle's designer David Buttry.

The Tulabelle line will be officially unveiled at the event at the end of January.

Some photo eye candy of my newest Ellowyne

Okay, a quick post on three new things I have to share with you:


#1: My newest Ellowyne Wilde, "Nothing Springs to Mind" from the Spring 2010 line. I acquired her in a trade, nude, from my friend and fellow FDR writer, Carolyn and she's so pretty! (I meant Ellowyne, but Carolyn's pretty, too.) She's only my second Ellowyne (the first being Essential Ellowyne, Too Wigged Out, from Fall 2009), and my first with painted eyes. Carolyn, our resident hair expert, trimmed the long chunk of hair the hangs down in the front and I think it looks much better short.

Love Letters is a Poppy Parker Fashion Teen with dark blonde hair and brown eyes. She has lovely long hair, applied eyelashes, and 1960s-inspired facial screening. She's a little taller than Tonner girls, and slimmer, but she looks great displayed with them.

Her dress is a lovely lilac cocktail dress with gold lace overlay. She has a wonderful removable "fur" cape, with an opening for her hair at the neck. Her silver clutch purse and pumps match. (The shoes fit really well, too--and I got her to stand on her own.) She includes has pearl stud earrings, white gloves and a double-strand pearl necklace.

Shop Around Fashion Teen Poppy Parker

Another new arrival while I was away at IFDC, this is Shop Around Poppy Parker by Integrity Toys. She's on the new Fashion Teen body, about 16" tall, and she's a little slimmer and shorter than the FR:16 line (also slimmer than Antoinette and Tyler Wentworth by Tonner Doll), but she displays beautifully next to them.

I wasn't sure about adding a new size to my already eclectic collection, but here she is--and to stay. She is wonderful. I think her face is really unique. A larger version of Poppy's face, she is delightfully retro, pouty, and slightly anime--giving her face a feminine look with classic clean lines.

This doll has platinum hair in an elaborate bumped-up twisted ponytail with side-swept bangs, sultry side-glancing blue eyes with dramatic face paint, applied lashes, and red lips.

Her outfit is really cute: she wears blue gingham capri pants, a sequined lace top with puffed sleeve details, and adorable wedge sandals. Jewelry includes a classic heart charm necklace, gold bangle bracelets, and hoop earrings. She also includes a printed tote bag (it even says "Poppy" on it).

Poppy Parker Fashion Teen

One of the biggest surprises was the release of Poppy Parker Fashion Teen, a brand new line for Integrity Toys. This line is a new 16" version of Poppy Parker, which uses a similar body to the new FR:16 line. Her face, to me, is close to the original Poppy Parker, but she looks similar to the W Club doll Spring Kissed.

I think she's really cute, and I can't wait to see real life photos. The dolls retail for $150, and are limited to 300 worldwide, and are scheduled to ship in late June.

The first doll in the line-up is called Spring Morning. This doll looks like the fabric of her coat would go well with Spring Kissed's outfit. She's really cute. She has red hair, and comes dressed in a yellow dress, warm tweed coat, stockings, adorable heels, gloves, and includes a bag and jewelry.

Shop Around is a platinum ponytailed Poppy with a fun summery outfit and jewelry. Her lace crop top has tiny sequin details. I'm including some detail photos of her accessories as well.

You gotta love those handles, the bag and those wedges! Adorable.

The new Poppy Fashion Teen face: I think she's slightly more sophisticated, and maybe a tad more snobby-looking--possibly not as sweet as the 11" Poppy. I really like her!

Love Letters is a blonde fashion Poppy with a great purple brocade sleeveless dress, white "fur" cape,  white gloves, silver shoes and clutch, and fun lavender facial screening. She also includes pearl jewelry.

No, she isn't getting married. Precious Love is merely a photo shoot, with a gorgeous two-part wedding dress, including an elegant sleeveless dress with a rushed waist, and a lace bolero with pearl detailing at the front. The short veil is trimmed with flowers. She includes delicate shoes, pearl jewelry, a ring, and bouquet.
