Blythe in Stylist Magazine: Issue 65

Stylist Magazine: Issue 65

Check out Issue #65 for a terrific Blythe fashion photo shoot in UK's Stylist Magazine. If you love these photos, you can download wallpapers (for your desktop computer) for free at this link.

I, for one, am glad to see our large-headed, large-eyed doll has made it in the fashion world, the savvy dresser she is!

New Clothing Posted to Clear Lan Web Site

Coat from the new collection. Photo property of Clear Lan.
Clear Lan, a doll clothing designer and manufacturer, just posted new items to their web site. Our very own Shuga introduced me to their product last year and I just can't get enough of their clothing. They make clothing to fit Misaki, Momoko, La Ti Yellow, and Blythe. Since their clothing is sized to fit Misaki, that means Poppy Parker can wear it, which is good news since Poppy has become my go to fashion doll.

Previously, the only way to have items shipped from Clear Lan was via EMS, which can be quite expensive. For that reason, several of us would pool our orders and send in one super order so that we could share the shipping cost. However, recently Clear Lan added Registered Air Parcel as a shipping option which is considerably less expensive. Now I can order items any time I want!  That may be a good thing, or a bad thing.  Good for me and my dolls, bad for my budget.

Poppy in Clear Lan
Why do I love Clear Lan on Poppy so much? I know that Poppy's back story is that she's a teenage model in the early to mid '60s and I love her styled that way. I also feel, like many people, that Poppy has a fresh, young personality that fits with many of today's clothing styles and I believe that Clear Lan hits that mark with their designs.

Here Endless Summer Poppy was photographed at Disney's California Adventure (DCA) last week wearing a sleeveless black turtle neck knit shirt, brown short sleeved cowl neck knit shirt, and cropped and cuffed denim jeans all from Clear Lan.  The jewelry is from Ask Any Girl Poppy Parker gift set and the black plastic booties are from a Liv outfit.

If you'd like to see more of Poppy's trip to DCA, please click here to see more photos on my Flickr.

A Wave from Japan Auction at Auction Fever

Alice's Sweets - Mint Jelly Momoko
Starting tomorrow, February 5, 2011 at 9 am PST, and lasting the week through February 12 at 7 PM PST, Auction Fever will be hosting A Wave from Japan Auction.

First, you'll want to read all the fine print here to learn about this auction and how to bid.

Here is the promotional text:
A Wave auction is different from a regular Auction Fever auction. First of all it is only Japanese Exclusive Items in this auction. It's like a giant treasure hunt because all the items are not categorized, they are just added as sellers send them to me. So search through the 4 pages and nearly 200 items that are offered for bids. The main pages are up right now for you to preview the items available, and the individual pages will go up by Saturday morning. So go and look at the main pages to see what will be offered starting Saturday, Feb. 5 at 9 am PST.
You'll find all sorts of fun items by Momoko, Dollystyle exclusive dolls, FR Nippon, Blythe, Azone, Pullip, Fashion Royalty convention exclusives and more. Oh my! The preview items are up, but the bidding won't start till tomorrow.

Also, it appears that the larger images don't seem to be working yet, either.

The Alice Project, Day 36

Manuheali’i Paradise Girl dressed in Jdoll makes a modern Alice.
Here is just a single photo of Blythe as Alice. She's an exclusive Blythe to CWC, and she's dressed in an outfit from J-Doll, Vass Sofias. I think she makes a very cute, modern version of Alice.

And the entire group of Alices (you may notice my girls' dolls have been redressed--I count myself lucky that they are even in the photo) all together are pictured below.

Neo Blythe "Nicky Lad" announced at Doll-Collectible

I'm not a Blythe expert, but I did happen across an adorable new release Neo Blythe called Nicky Lad, available for pre-order now from Doll-Collectible in Japan. (If any of my readers have another source for Blythe, and you post the link in the comments below, I'd be forever grateful!)

Nicky Lad is scheduled to be released July 1, 2010, and she retails for $149 USD (13,440 yen). She has the radiance face type, natural face type, yellow brown eye shadow, coral pink blush and lips, blue eyes (right), sky blue (center, special color), green (left), pink (center), her hair is short and golden brown.

The set includes the doll, polo shirt, pants, rain coat, glasses, socks, boots, underwear and stand.

I don't own any Blythes--but I think she is adorable.
