Pullip as Marianne

Pullip as Marianne by alington
Pullip as Marianne, a photo by alington on Flickr.
I'll be posting some of my favorite Christmas gift dolls this week. I've been a little under the weather, and I haven't had a chance to do much else, so forgive some of the regurgitated photos.

This gorgeous girl is Pullip Marianne. This photo was taken in December 2010--truly a lovely doll.

You can see more photos of her on Flickr.

They aren't in stock until August 19th and will ship shortly after that, but it beats trying to find one on eBay. Both dolls are limited editions of 400. Well it looks like Jun Planning has pulled out all the stops for this year's ComicCon exclusives!  Not 1, but 2 lovely ladies will make their appearance at the Jun Planning booth.  I know I'll definitely be making a stop at their booth!

Prices lowered on eBay auctions...

I've lowered a few of the prices on my current eBay listings--both on the opening bids and the Buy-It-Now prices. Come check out what I've got to offer this week.

The auctions close on Sunday, and all of them include free priority shipping with insurance within the contiguous US. (I also ship overseas, at actual cost.)

Thanks for looking!

A Wave from Japan Auction at Auction Fever

Alice's Sweets - Mint Jelly Momoko
Starting tomorrow, February 5, 2011 at 9 am PST, and lasting the week through February 12 at 7 PM PST, Auction Fever will be hosting A Wave from Japan Auction.

First, you'll want to read all the fine print here to learn about this auction and how to bid.

Here is the promotional text:
A Wave auction is different from a regular Auction Fever auction. First of all it is only Japanese Exclusive Items in this auction. It's like a giant treasure hunt because all the items are not categorized, they are just added as sellers send them to me. So search through the 4 pages and nearly 200 items that are offered for bids. The main pages are up right now for you to preview the items available, and the individual pages will go up by Saturday morning. So go and look at the main pages to see what will be offered starting Saturday, Feb. 5 at 9 am PST.
You'll find all sorts of fun items by Momoko, Dollystyle exclusive dolls, FR Nippon, Blythe, Azone, Pullip, Fashion Royalty convention exclusives and more. Oh my! The preview items are up, but the bidding won't start till tomorrow.

Also, it appears that the larger images don't seem to be working yet, either.

Dal Charlotte

Dal as Charlotte, originally uploaded by alington.
A Christmas gift from my daughter Lauren, whose favorite color is yellow, my very first Dal from Jun Planning! Her name is Charlotte, and I think she is gorgeous.

She fits in perfectly with my historical dolls with her wonderfully over the top sating gown, trimmed with lace and teal flowers. She's even wearing bloomers underneath. She has lavender eyes and blush pink hair in a fantastically braided up-do.

And wow--is she ever a fussy little thing!

While Charlotte's eyes move right and left, her eyes do not close or wink like Pullip's can. Somehow, I think this is appropriate for her facial expression.

See more photos of her on Flickr.

Pullip Marianne

Pullip as Marianne, originally uploaded by alington.
A Christmas gift from my daughter Kate (thanks also to my husband Mark), this is Marianne. She's a Pullip doll by Jun Planning, dressed in full Rococo regalia, perfect for my collection of historically inspired dolls.

Her green eyes look left and right, and close independently, so you can make her close her eyes and wink. She's just adorable, and her outfit is simply amazing. She's been on my wish list for a long time.

Also, I had a blast taking photos of her. See more on Flickr.

The Alice Project, Day 26

2009 San Diego Comic Con Pullip Lala as Alice.
The second vinyl doll in the Alice Project, this is 2009's San Diego Comic Con exclusive Pullip Lala. And yes, Lala does have a soft pink hair color.

She's dressed in a one-of-a-kind Alice outfit (and Barbie boots) created by MegannArt on Etsy. It was beautiful in the promo photos (sold originally for a Momoko doll), but it's an even cuter in person and on Pullip, I think. The pleating, trim and the bunny are very well made and perfect in scale.

You can see more photos of her in my Flickr photostream.

LaLa Pullip

LaLa Pullip
Originally uploaded by alington
LaLa Pullip was the 2009 exclusive San Diego Comic Con doll from Jun Planning, and is my very first Pullip. I attended 2010 Comic Con, and my daughters insisted on allowing them to buy several more (two large ones and several minis--more pictures coming soon).

I'm surprised at how much fun these girls are--their eyes open and close, and shift left and right. They pose very well!

LaLa's hair is a blush/pinky shade, and her eyes are sparkly. Her "scarf" is actually a hair tie. Whoops! See full-length shots on Flickr.
