Lots of new basic dolls, dressed dolls and outfits were released yesterday at Wilde Imagination's website. I'm noticing a lot of ruffles, chiffon, lace and sequins this time around. You can check them out yourself here, and here is my own list of highlights:

To the Ellowyne Wilde collection:

• three new basic Ellowyne dolls, available as a set for $227, or individually for $89, in wigged blonde, inset blue eyes, wigged brunette, inset amber eyes, and wigged flame red, inset green eyes.
• ten new vinyl dressed dolls, ranging from $175-189. Half of the dolls are still waiting for actual photos, but I notice a new character, Penn--Ellowyne's new boyfriend, coming soon. Lizette and Prudence are also coming soon. My favorite (so far) is the adorable Heart & Soul (LE500 $175) in pink.

I was going to try for Vintage Confusion Ellowyne, retail $199, LE125, because I just love her outfit, but she sold out instantly! Lizette was created for the Afternoon of Tea & Ennui event at IDEX, and there are a few of this limited edition of 200 left for sale. Decadent Daydream is a resin Ellowyne with interchangeable blue eyes and a blonde wig. She's limited to 125 and $475. I love her outfit. (Whew! I'm so glad I wasn't there in person, since I'm a sucker for resin!)

Diggin Deeper Rufus has dark brown hair and blue eyes. He's limited to 100 and is $160. (Get it? Digging? Isn't he a mortician or something?) His outfit is just adorable.

Graveside Flowers is a resin Evangeline who stands 18.5" tall. She includes a blonde wig and inset blue eyes (I think they are changeable, but it doesn't specify on the website). She's limited to 200 and retails for $475. So glad to see her in resin again.

Weekend at the Manor Mortimer stands 19.5" tall, and he has inset blue eyes and raven hair. He's vinyl with 14 points of articulation. He's limited to 100 and $210. Wow--a new size--and with inset eyes that are actually life size. I'm really impressed!

Phin and Thea make an appearance as well. Both are limited to 150 and retail for $185. You can buy them as a set for $310. Their outfits are just amazing.

Amelia - Ouch! has inset green eyes is complete ball-jointed. She's limited to just 125 and retails for $150. (So sweet!)

Okay, a quick post on three new things I have to share with you:


#1: My newest Ellowyne Wilde, "Nothing Springs to Mind" from the Spring 2010 line. I acquired her in a trade, nude, from my friend and fellow FDR writer, Carolyn and she's so pretty! (I meant Ellowyne, but Carolyn's pretty, too.) She's only my second Ellowyne (the first being Essential Ellowyne, Too Wigged Out, from Fall 2009), and my first with painted eyes. Carolyn, our resident hair expert, trimmed the long chunk of hair the hangs down in the front and I think it looks much better short.

Ellowyne, Totally Refined, is now available for order from Wilde Imagination. She is the new resin fashion BJD from Wilde Imagination, and I'm thrilled to see her applied eyelashes. She is limited to 150 dolls (only one per collector), retail $450, and includes changeable teal acrylic eyes, a reg wig, and a rose lingerie outfit, panties, stockings, corset, and gold shoes. She will ship August 6.

Additionally, many new items have been added to Evangeline Ghastly's line, including Parnilla Ghastly. Limited to 350, retail $225, this lovely redhead is dressed in gold and cream crinkled lamé and net. She is wigged and has green inset eyes (not changeable).

Wilde Weekend -- Register Now!

Registration is now open (and limited to 200 guests) for A Wilde Weekend - Wilde Imagination's first convention in Louisville, KY, October 5-7, 2012.

The cost is $349, or you can hold your spot for a non-refundable $50 deposit, with the rest of the payments due of July 1, August 1, and September 1. You'll be staying at Seelbach Hilton hotel, with room rate at $149 per night. All the information can be found here.

I heard a rumor (on Wilde Imagination's event page, actually) that the breakout events are actually included in the registration price. Here is the quote:

However, this Wilde Weekend will have no break outs, so your cost of registration will include every event. Your registration price includes your admittance to the entire weekend. Certain meals will be included, and of course there will be a souvenir doll. An agenda of events will be announced at a later time, so stay tuned.

I just came across this wonderful website, My Darling Dolls, as I was perusing Tonner's blog this morning. Marie's blog is fantastic resource for fashion doll collectors looking for real-life photos of dolls of all shapes and sizes. You really should subscribe.

If French isn't your first (or second) language, you can turn on Google translate on the right, and translate the page into the language of your choice. On this blog, you will find many gorgeous images of Marie's doll collection--ranging from Tonner Dolls to Fashion Royalty to Barbie--redressed and restyled in assorted fashions.

Each photo shoot is labeled with the outfits used, and the colors are lovely and cheerful. When I see this site, I see a collector in love with her dolls.

The site is easily navigated, so you can click on the sculpt or doll you'd like to see on the left, and this will bring on the posts which use this doll.

She has been publishing since February of 2010, and has very few followers--so let's get her some more! Go subscribe to her blog! It's wonderful!
