New Azone outfits from DollHeart!

Dollheart fairies

My latest DollHeart order is here, and I'm very pleased with the outfits! Above, you can see Ainsel (left), modeled by Secret Wonderland Mia, and Iolanthe, modeled by Blueberry Holic Nightmare Aika.

Both outfits are really cute and well made--just like other tiny outfits by DollHeart. They have tiny lace wings pinned to their backs, too. Super cute! (It appears I have them wearing arm warmers, when they are really footless socks. Ooops.) My one complaint: Iolanthe's outer skirt was very, very snug on Aika's body--however, that might just be because of her older static body type. Perhaps the newer articulated Neemos have a slightly smaller waist.

You can see additional photos on Flickr.

If you too are a Neemo fan, you may want to check out the other fashions available from DollHeart--several available for preorder, some are coming soon.

Above, it's The Moon Gabrielle, retail $44.90. This cute outfit includes a top, coat, a fur collar, pants, belt, hat, three pins, and a pair of checked socks.

The Moon Danielle is a coordinating outfit, also for $44.90. This set includes a shirt, suspender skirt, neck accessory, pin, hat, panties, and a pair of socks. You can purchase both of the above in a set, as well, with a retail of $84.90. (I'm trying not to think of which dolls I have that could wear these well...)

A second set of outfits has been previewed online, too. These lolita style outfits are really sweet and very "Sweets a la Mode," I think. Above, it's Strawberry Mint Cream Cake, price to be determined. The outfit includes a dress, apron, petticoat, panties, apron, beret, and socks. (Ack! Wouldn't the Little Witch of Flame Aika totally rock this outfit with her bright red hair?)

Chocolate Mint Cream Cake is another outfit previewed online (retail price is to be determined), and it's also adorable. It includes a dress, apron, petticoat, panties, apron, beret, and socks. I have to confess, the set of both tempts me mightily!

Finally, it's Moloko Plus, which looks like it will be debuted at the Osaka Dollism Plus--I'm hoping there will be a few leftover, which will be available online. The outfit includes a dress, panties, belt, hat, and pair of socks.

Before I finish this lengthy post, I'd like to point out that DollHeart is carrying shoes sized for Neemo, too. You can see them here, retail $19.90. They are really cute--with little bow details.

New DollHeart outfits for preorder - for Azone's Pure Neemo!

I'm delighted to announce that DollHeart has released a preorder for Rainbow Fairies, which includes two new outfits for Azone's Pure Neemo size dolls. You can purchase the set of fairy costumes (dolls not included) for $84.90, which saves you $4.90 (10%) off retail. They are available from DollHeart directly or from your favorite DollHeart dealer.

Iolanthe is a lavender fairy (according to Wikipedia, it's "a feminine given name, derived from the Greek 'ιολη' (iole) for 'violet' and 'ανθος' (anthos) for 'flower.'" This outfit includes a one-piece dress, skirt, headdress, chain accessory, wing, underwear, petticoat, and socks. It's $44.90 and available for preorder today with an August delivery date.

Ainsel is an aqua version of the rainbow fairy set, and includes a one-piece dress, choker, headdress, wings, a pair of bracelets, petticoat, bloomers, and socks. It's $44.90 when purchased alone and is available for preorder now, with an August release date.

Just for kicks, I looked up "Ainsel" on Wiki, too. You might find it interesting.

Additionally, there's a preview of a new limited costume set called Moloko Plus, which I believe will be released especially for attendees of the Osaka Dollism Plus show. This outfit includes a one-piece dress, hat, belt, underpants and mesh stockings. Price is still to be determined.

Please vote for Aaron!

One of my favorite people in the BJD world, Aaron Egawa, has entered the very first I love Dollheart contest at Ms. Cholong's Boutique Doll. Please vote for him--between today and June 6, 2013. There will be three winners chosen, based on the number of votes the photos receive:
  • 1st place receives $200 worth of Dollheart items
  • 2nd place receives $100 worth of Dollheart items
  • 3rd place will receive $50 worth of Dollheart items
The prizes will be announced next week on June 7.

If you can't decided which photo you like best, please vote for photo #2, title Mary riding in the Wilderness, with her favorite Bobcase Spike, by my friend Aaron Egawa. He really needs extra Dollheart goodies! :) (There are many terrific entries, I have to say!)

The system will only allows voting for one time for one photo, and it should begin later today. (I don't think it's function just yet.)

Shoes, shoes, shoes.

So... would the real Alice in Wonderland please stand up?

Probably not in these shoes! But who says you can't have a little fun with your designs? These are Rogita's shoes and stockings, also by DollHeart. I just adore them.

If you're staying away from traditional BJDs because you're attached to high heeled fashion shoes, let me introduce you to Absolute Beauty, the new body by Peak's Woods. She has both flat and heel feet--and yes, they are easy to change! Plus, they fit DollHeart's SD13 high heel shoes perfectly.

It's all in the details!

Oh my! So maybe I'm still a little in love with Alice in Wonderland--and Christmas has arrived a little early. (I had to peek, and unfortunately, dolls have a really hard time going back in the box. It's like putting toothpaste back in the tube!)

This is Rogita's hat--part of her Red Alice outfit created by DollHeart. From the cameo charm, to the beaded ribbon detail, to the chiffon roses on the top, I think it's perfect.

You can see Rogita (and the rest of her outfit) on my post over at BJDs for Beginners.

Ma-ma-ma-ma...

Lavin by alington
Lavin, a photo by alington on Flickr.
Just kidding! We can totally read Lavin's Poker Face: sweet! In that respect, maybe too sweet for Lady GaGa, but the doll sure is cute.

Isn't her new wig simply fabulous? It's a newly released wig by DollHeart (also available in a short style) for your SD-sized girls.

Lavin is a Peak's Woods resin BJD, currently wearing honey-colored glass eyes by Mint on Card. She is dressed in a limited edition outfit by DollHeart called Vampire Wedding.

Goldie in Under the Boardwalk

Goldie in Under the Boardwalk., originally uploaded by alington.
What a difference a face-up makes!

This is also Goldie by Peak's Woods. She has an original face-up by Peak's Woods, and was my second SD-sized BJD ever. She and Claudine (from the previous post) share the same face mold, but as you can see, make-up colors and styling make a huge difference in the doll's appearance.

Goldie is dressed in a Val Zeitler/Haute Doll outfit called Under the Boardwalk, and is wearing a wig designed by Val Zeitler and produced by Haute Doll as well.

She is wearing smaller diameter glass eyes in violet, as well, and her make-up is an original factory face-up.

Can you tell by comparison what your aesthetic preference is? Personally, I can't narrow it down. I love both girls.

The real reason I collect dolls...

Goldie is home!, originally uploaded by alington.
Is for their fabulous shoes!

These are from the Haute Doll/Val Zeitler collection, manufactured by DollHeart. But can't you just hear, "There's no place like home" deep in your heart?

I'd totally wear these. And let's not even go into a price comparison between the cost of doll shoes and people shoes.

Well, I happen to be a John Fluevog fan, and I say my feet are worth it. But I'm old, and can't afford to have "hurty feet," which is what I call barking dogs.

Sky in white

Sky in white, originally uploaded by alington.
Another for-fun photo: Peak's Woods Sky, dressed in assorted white (or white and black) pieces by DollHeart. Wig is also by DollHeart, eyes are Soho Blue-Green by Kemper Dolls.

She's a white-skin, small bust doll, and was my very first SD-sized BJD. I still love her. She has the older style Peak's Woods face-up. Dramatic yet delicate.

One fun thing about DollHeart outfits: You can often mix and match the many pieces included with them to create a brand new outfit. It's really quite fun!

Peak's Woods Skiya

Peak's Woods Skiya, originally uploaded by alington.
Another for-fun photo: this is Peak's Woods Skiya, 58cm, resin BJD made in Korea. She is a white-skin doll, and I haven't yet blushed her or sanded her seam lines. She was a limited edition of 2 from the Christmas event in 2010, and included a different dress.

I've redressed her for the first time, and it had to be fabulous. I'm delighted to find that she can wear blue very well. Her wig is by Kemper Dolls, eye are glass and from Mint on Card, I believe.

The gown is by DollHeart and is a GoGa Convention exclusive called Vampire Bride.

I went a little crazy with the photos in my Flickr photostream. She's really lovely.

Doll Market special

Tutti Flower full-set. Photo property of DollHeart/Jollyplus and the Doll Market.
I couldn't not post this -- there is only one available, and you can use your Doll Market dollars on this purchase (or layaway, too). Tutti Flower, a Jollyplus and DollHeart collaboration is on sale for $599.97 (retail is $684.00) this week only.

And she is so cute--she'll include either blue or brown eyes, face-up, wig and complete outfit (and check out those amazing shoes!) and matching handbag.

She's a limited edition of 40, sold out and in stock. Jollyplus does make gorgeous dolls--I have Jise, and she is just gorgeous.

Alices in Wonderland

Alices in Wonderland, originally uploaded by alington.
So, you know how I've been telling you all I'm tired of Alice in Wonderland-themed dolls? Well, maybe just one more photo. My DollHeart order arrived from Boutique Doll a few days ago. The Pink Alice set actually belongs to a friend, but she let me borrow it for Briana for a day, just to try it out.

From the left: Dollzone Morphoa is modeling the Queen of Hearts and a new wig, Peak's Woods tan Briana is in Pink Alice (wig and boots included), normal skin Segi is in the Duchess and DollHeart wig, and Yeru is in Blue Alice, wig and boots included.

See more photos on Flickr.

Oh yes. And it turns out, those silver things on the boots are indeed snaps. Thanks, Melissa! Now it won't take me 20 minutes to get those boots on or off. (I'm so embarrassed.)

Sky as Alice

The last banquet at IFDC is "Malice in Wonderland." I'm of course dressing up as a dark-ish Alice, and Sky or Segi is going as Alice. This is Sky, here.

She's wering a wig by Michele Hardy, and shoes and outfit by DollHeart.

I found the cup at Ross Dress for Less for about $6.

It's a Wee Wee World - IFDC

Two of my Peak's Woods dolls are accompanying me to IFDC this year. I'll be there when this entry is posted, I hope.

The first opening reception's theme is "It's a Wee Wee World," and costumes are optional. I'm dressing up as a German Fräulein, complete mit Bier, I hope. And this costume, assembled from assorted DollHeart and Michele Hardy items, is the best I could do on short notice, as a coordinating costume for Sky.

Sky is also wearing a Lacey wig by Leeke, which I have styled in an up-do.

I'm hoping I will be lucky enough not to have my silly costumes posted online. But if you do, you might recognize me as the one holding the large BJD. Or the one holding a great big beer.

Special Tutti Flowers exclusive from Jolly Plus and DollHeart

Expected delivery is May 2010 (that's still this month--I wonder if that's a typo), as far as I can see, this lovely 60cm (about 23.5") BJD is the second in a series of three collaborative projects between DollHeart and JollyPlus.

Wake-up Cue

Wake-up Cue, originally uploaded by alington.

And one more, anticipating the arrival of Lady Bee and Yeru: Wake-up Cue, who we're trying to call Anastatsia.

She's a large bust, white skin doll, with enhanced eyelashes and artist face-up by Boutique Doll. Here she's dressed in DollHeart's Pure Red and a wig that was included with Cutie Angel Mari.

I still need to give her a little body blushing, but think she is magnificent.

Melin in Lynea

Melin in Lynea, originally uploaded by alington.
I think I let the day go by without posting to either of my blogs. Oh dear!

At any rate, this is one of the photos I took today of Melin. I've been trying her out with different wigs, at the suggestion of a comment on one of my Flickr photos. I love her with longer hair, actually. She's really got a great face-up, and an adorable face--and her mouth and chin sculpt so nice, you hardly see it with her bobbed hair.

This is a DollHeart wig, Lynea in Sunstreaked. It's a YoSD size, just a bit too snug. But the MSD size is too large. I think I'd stick with this smaller size for her.

See more photos from this set on my Flickr photostream.
