Check out some of MegannArt's latest additions, designed especially for Deja Vu, Tonner's newest fashion doll. This adorable pink tulle dress is available for just $15.50, and also fits Cami & Jon (Antoinette), Integrity Toys Poppy Parker Fashion Teen, and Soom's Rosette BJD.
I highly recommend Megann's fashions--she specializes in tiny seams and delicate fabrics. Check out her store--just in time for the holidays!

Raffle Steffie from Magia 2000
By
Unknown
Here's pretending that it hasn't been a week since my last post--I must apologize. My kids have started school, and my oldest starts after Labor Day, but has started (no joke) an all-day band camp. I have four kids in three different schools in two districts this year. The driving is a little crazier than I'm accustomed to, it seems.
I'm usually a no-nonsense kind of parent--it's a requirement as a mom of four. There is just no other option. But since David is in high school this year (how did that happen? Am I really no longer in my 30s?), I feel like the, er, responsible thing to do is to allow some extra-curricular activities into the schedule, and to encourage them, even. We'll see how long this lasts.
That being said and, while my sanity is mostly still in tact, this is another favorite from the Magia 2000 fashion show. She is a gorgeous Steffie repaint with a beautiful fashion. Amazingly, Mario and Gianni found it reasonable to create her for a raffle prize and gave her away to one lucky person in attendance at the show that night!
Simply fantastic!

Prudence as Marie
By
Unknown
Another wonderful one-of-a-kind outfit by the talented Carol Peters, this is Prudence Moody as Marie Antoinette.
I understand Carol was inspired by Val Zeitler's Young Marie collection, as featured in Haute Doll Magazine a few years ago. (It was a collection created for Sky, a Peak's Woods BJD, and what inspired my very first BJD purchase.) Carol created her own French Court Petit Trianon cotton day dress of this lovely floral print, trimmed with lace, ribbon and roses.
She even created a wig for Prudence as well. See the cute little blue bird, peeking through the top?
You can see additional photos of this outfit on my Flickr photostream. Enjoy!

Ellowyne in Carol Peters
By
Unknown
Here is a lovely one-of-a-kind outfit, designed by Carol Peters and modeled by Ellowyne Wilde. Victorian inspired, in a burnout velvet print and red shantung with lots of velvet ribbon detail, Ellowyne looks her very best.
I love the detail of the velvet purse and the fringed hat.

By
Unknown
Attention, all doll clothing designers:
Couture Doll Design Challenge (CDDC) is starting season 4 on February 4, and it's time for your chance to enter as a contestant!
A major change this year is that there will be three categories for competition: beginner, intermediate, and professional. That's a fantastic idea, so you can compete in your level, and have a chance to win.
If you're interested, check out CDDC's website and send in a short biography and a few photos of your work! Let me know if you're competing, and I can root for you, too.

The Sisters of La Boutique Purse of the Month Club
By
Valerie

Do you have a closet full of designer purses? A different purse for every day of the week...of the year? Do you wish you could do the same for your fashion doll? Let me introduce you to Diana and Janet.
Diana Wieler and Janet Ellis are the sisters behind La Boutique Purse of the Month Club (POTM). Every month they offer new spectacular designer purses and coordinating outfits for our favorite fashion dolls. Most of their offerings are geared to the 12" dolls, but they occasionally have something for the larger 16" gal, too. I used the occasion of POTM's fifth anniversary to ask them some questions regarding their business.
FDR: Where are you located?
Diana: We both live in the Niagara Penninsula/wine country of Ontario Canada. Janet lives in St. Catharines and I'm in the metropolis of Grimsby.

Fanciful Delights - an interview with Roweena23
By
Unknown
I discovered Fanciful Delights, and Jessica (also known as Roweena23 on Den of Angels), a few weeks ago, and I couldn't resist asking her for an interview. Currently, you can find Fanciful Delight's handmade one-of-a-kind hats for sale on Etsy, on Den of Angels' Marketplace forum, and often at GoGa and GoGa Lite conventions in San Francisco.
