IT Girl Raja gets a makeover

It Girl Raja is a recent acquisition for me, and a trade (really a great trade from Em at the Toy Box Philosopher!), and I've just received her back today after a really fantastic makeover.

My instructions to James were--whatever you like.

His inspiration was Barbie--and she's now a sunkissed goddess. Simply fabulous!

He has done repainting of every brand from Tonner to Sybarite, Fashion Royalty to JamieShow. He creates his own eyelashes for each repaint, and also does restoration, body blushing, and french manicures. He has even been featured in DOLLS Magazine (in the March 2012 edition).

Superfrock new release - Katana

Katana is now available to order from Superfrock. She is a new Sybarite resin fashion BJD in pale skin tone, and Fuju clone. She is in stock and ready to ship. Her price: £344.12 (about $550)

Katana is the first of the "Fashion Police" collection, and she is a criminologist. She has pale grey eyes, dusted with charcoal shadow and lined with black with hand-applied eyelashes. She wears a lovely white and gray braided wig and tied with slim red ribbon which accent her lips.

Her outfit is a belted strapless white cocktail dress with a black, laser cut overlay and inset bustle. She includes white sheer footless hose and fabulous white, black, and lime platform shoes.

Additional accessories include a face mask, "forensic size" handbag, enamel earrings, and "suicidal wrist wraps." She includes a stand, as well.

Sybarites to Show at IFDC

Good news Sybarites fans! You won't have to travel very far to see your fashion doll of choice this year. Jim Faraone announced to the IFDC YahooGroup this past week that Desmond of Superfrock will attend IFDC (International Fashion Doll Convention) this July. Attendees will definitely get to see the new line up close, but it is not yet known at this time if any Sybarite dealers will be selling at the convention.

New Sybarite Haute Doll Exclusive: The Cross

Coming soon, and available for pre-order at 10 AM on September 9, 2009, The Cross is the latest and greatest exclusive Sybarite exclusive doll to Haute Doll magazine. Available at this point only to subscribers, her retail price and expected ship date is not yet available. But she is a limited edition of 150. And buyers will also have the opportunity to purchase the Innoquii or Raja doll for just $100 with the Cross.

Cross comes dressed in a sheer black mesh top, covering her hands in fine black lace. According to the promo ad, she'll have polka dot stockings, with custom printed stiletto closed-toe heels, a dramatic black feathered head piece, a gilt cross studded with faux diamonds, and a black and white polka dot bow.

Her gown will be vivid colors of pink, red, yellow combined with black, lined with a red silk, with a delicate overlay of lace with delicate red embroidery. The lace pattern should have a Victorian feel, with hot pink and bright red beading.

The raven-haired doll will have a softer face-up with red and fuchsia eye shadow, which highlights her sky grey eyes.

New items at Superfrock

Innoquii is now proudly selling its porcelain nurse doll, a lovely 14" tall limited edition of 300. She has black hair and violet glass eyes with applied lashes, red lips, pierced ears. Her tattoos are mostly medically related--a syringe, pills, various symbols and a barcode.

Her outfit includes underwear, a white cotton dress and organza apron, white nurse's hat and transparent IV handbag. She's selling for 200 GBP.

Also, a new accessory pack called Knife is on sale today as well. 35GBP will get you a new bag, matching stiletto heels and nameplate necklace.

New Sybarite exclusive by Haute Doll magazine

A new exclusive (limited edition of 100 pieces) Sybarite doll is being offered--and has already sold out, but you can still get your name on a waiting list--at Haute Doll. It was $100 to pre-order the doll (and the retail price has not yet been determined), Fugu-San Sybarite by Superfrock. She is gorgeous, I have to admit.

She's dressed in an elegant and simple (though intricate) coarse weave gown of natural material with satin piping and lining, with faux leather platform sandals. Fugo sports a short black choppy hair style (adorable!) and dramatic face-up with red lips, and she also includes a faux fur coat and a set of chopsticks.

New Innoquii doll at Superfrock...

And man, is my wishlist looking scary! She's 14" inches tall, so I'd be starting yet another scale. But she's porcelain. I've always wanted a porcelain fashion doll. And of the preview dolls I've seen (of the ones featured in Haute Doll magazine, at least) the Bride is my very favorite. Of course, we've just moved into our very first home this weekend, so my doll budget is good and spent. But I may make an exception and see if I can find room on a credit card for this little lady. She is just amazing. She's a limited edition of 300 dolls and retails for 200GBP (about $292USD).

Technical details: The doll is has white hair with gray glass eyes and applied lashes. She has dramatic smokey makeup with pale peach lips. She includes pierced ears with metal hoops. Her body includes a clock on her leg and a spine tattoo as well.

In addition to her fantastic glittering tulle wedding gown and veil, she also includes satin panties, hose, white shoes, garter and a bouquet. A stand is also included.
