Full Spectrum Veronique Perrin

Full Spectrum

This is Full Spectrum Veronique Perrin from the 2014 Urban Safari collection. She is one of the many dolls I preordered with the intent to resell but ended up keeping. Originally, I'd intended to order her as a split (the nude doll only), but I loved the way her bright poppy day dress looks with the more muted tones of the Urban Safari collection.

Unfortunately, I ruined one of her hands. I was changing them (or trying to), and it got stuck--it broke off at the wrist. My husband was able to drill out the peg without damaging her lower arm, lucky for me. And I have other extra hands that will suit this skin tone, I believe. I've heard of this happening before; it was just my first experience with it: not fun!

You can see a few more photos of Vero on Flickr.

Surprise! It's Elusive Creature Natalia Fatale!

Elusive Creature Natalia Fatale

Integrity Toys Urban Safari collection has started to arrive to dealers, and then been shipping to collectors. I was unable to control myself this past season, and I ordered quite a few dolls from this line. I'd intended to keep just the outfits from some of the dolls, and then resell the dolls.

My original favorite of the line was Adele, Vivid Encounter, and she is amazing. The doll shown above, Elusive Creature Natalia Fatale, was one of the dolls I'd intended to resell nude. However, after receiving her, and experiencing her in person, I have to say she might indeed be the favorite from the collection.

Her hair might be the winning factor for me, I have to admit. It's super soft, long, blond waves--and perfect. That, combined with her tan skin, is very California--and very Barbie--so it was quite a shock to me to see this character done in such a soft way. (I might change her lip color--I don't quite see how they fit in with this doll, though when viewed with the rest of the collection, they look fine.)

I already knew I'd love her outfit. To me, a great IT outfit is one that can be mixed and matched with others--and this one goes great with pieces from Fashion Explorer Vanessa Perrin as well as others from the Urban Safari line. I love the mesh shirt, and the adorable box pleat skirt is cute, too. The pocket detail on the vest is nicely done, also.

And of course--she has fantastic accessories. A snakeskin purse is a necessity for dear Natalia, I'm sure, but I love the enamel bangles and earrings--earrings, even though they aren't entirely necessary with her hat (not my fave) and hair.

The boots are amazing, too. They actually do not zip in the back, and still, they were super easy to put on. I was delighted, since I tend to break every single doll shoe I touch.

You can see additional photos on Flickr. I'm pretty sure you can still find Natalia from a few dealers--she's limited to 800, and I saw her from Toni's Collectibles for $145, which still cheaper than the Dollpage and some eBay listings.

Urban Safari - Latest Fashion Royalty release from Integrity Toys

The theme of this Fashion Royalty collection is Urban Safari. I have to say, I was quite impressed. I love the mix of softer colors and textures, and I like the mix and match pieces of these outfits, starting with Natalia.

Natalia Fatale appears in Elusive Creature in an edition of 800, $135. Her release date is August/September of this year. She uses the Hispanic skin tone with Serengeti blond hair. Her outfit includes a mesh top, vest with pockets, belt, pleated skirt, boots, faux snakeskin purse, hat, hoop earrings, sunglasses, and bracelets.

Also scheduled to ship in August/September is On The Rise Elise Jolie. She makes an appearance as a dramatic raven-haired beauty in the Japan skin tone, in a saffron colored gown with a black belt. Accessories include gold earrings and bracelets, matching clutch and heels. She is LE 700 and $135.

I had been hoping for something different from Eugenia this year, and she certainly is! City Prowl Eugenia Frost is LE 800 and retails for $135. She uses the FR White skin tone with desert dune blonde hair and brown eyes. She wears a sheer leopard print blouse over a faux leather bustier with pocket details, a knee length skirt, strappy shoes, a black clutch, bracelets and black earrings.

Faded Desert Kyori Sato popped up on my radar because of her fabulous outfit. I adore the vest and the various pieces of her skirt, plus her oversized bag really is fantastic. The touches of sky blue in this outfit make her look put together--check out the details on her shoes, for example. She's limited to 700 and retails for $135.

Simply adorable with short hair, Full Spectrum Veronique Perrin is limited to 700 and retails for $135. She wears an elegant red sheath with a cutout back, and the black belt and accessories finish her look perfectly.

For me, the star of the show is Adele Makeda in Vivid Encounter. She's limited to just 400 and retails for $135. She's dressed in a gorgeous peridot gown with a gorgeous draped skirt, matching necklace, bracelet and earrings. Her gold clutch and black heels complete her look.
