Full Spectrum Veronique Perrin

Full Spectrum

This is Full Spectrum Veronique Perrin from the 2014 Urban Safari collection. She is one of the many dolls I preordered with the intent to resell but ended up keeping. Originally, I'd intended to order her as a split (the nude doll only), but I loved the way her bright poppy day dress looks with the more muted tones of the Urban Safari collection.

Unfortunately, I ruined one of her hands. I was changing them (or trying to), and it got stuck--it broke off at the wrist. My husband was able to drill out the peg without damaging her lower arm, lucky for me. And I have other extra hands that will suit this skin tone, I believe. I've heard of this happening before; it was just my first experience with it: not fun!

Haute Societe

So... one of the dolls I wasn't planning on keeping has sort of stuck. It's Haute Societe Veronique Perrin from IT's Tropicalia convention.

Additionally, she's come out of the box. This is her original outfit--which, I might add, many collectors find a bit dowdy.

I love the details, though. I think the piping on her trench coat quite adorable. Underneath that coat, she's wearing separates, I believe--a pleated turquoise skirt and pink and yellow blouse.

And check out the accessories--very well done: a beaded belt, three bracelets, earrings, and a terrific bag.

Air Apparent Veronique (IT Convention Souvenir Doll)

So this gorgeous gal was the souvenir doll on the final night.  I absolutely adored her when I got a good look at her faceup.  The only thing I was not a fan of was the updo because I don't like updo's in general.  So today I took down her hair and restyled it into a ponytail.  When I took down her hair it was sparsely rooted and the cut was uneven due to how the original style was.  So I thought the best thing to do would be to pull back her hair into a ponytail and curl the ends under.  I think she looks even more amazing now!

Jet Set Convention Saturday event

The W Club Luncheon on Saturday featured a gorgeous FR2 centerpiece doll. It's Tatyana's head sculpt on the newly articulated FR2 body. She's called Exceptional. Her dress and accessories are gorgeous.

Guests were also given acrylic chairs as favors, in addition to the chance to purchase this gorgeous centerpiece doll.

After the luncheon, W Club members were introduced to two new FR2 dolls, featuring the original Vanessa and Véronique head sculpts. Evermore, the new Vanessa Perrin doll, was offered as an exclusive doll to purchase for event attendees. I wish I had been there! She is gorgeous, and is the doll that would convince me to add FR2 dolls to my collection.

Already, she is listed on eBay at around $300 starting price. Some attendees have listed her for a Buy-It-Now of $380, so I doubt she will be added to my collection anytime soon.

The good news for those of us who weren't able to attend the convention this year: The FR2 -bodied Véronique doll will be offered via lottery to all W Club members in late October! Hooray! I also hope that  this isn't the last we will see of the original Vero and Vanessa head sculpts. I'd love to see them in next year's line-up.

Additionally, news of the delayed 16" W Club doll, Spring Kissed, was presented with a sneak peek of Integrity Toys' new collection, FR:16, which takes the place of the AvantGuards brand. The dolls have a redesigned body, and Spring Kissed will feature this body. Payment notices for this doll are scheduled soon.

For those of you who have forgotten what Spring Kissed looks like, here she is:

Queen V for trade?

Queen V for trade? by alington
Queen V for trade?, a photo by alington on Flickr.
Hello, dear readers--

I thought I'd post a little feeler out there. I've got this gorgeous Queen V Véronique doll--deboxed but complete--and I'd like to trade her for one of your Vanessa dolls:
  • Poesie Sans Couleur
  • Luxe Life
  • Glow
  • Flame Bleue
Your doll can be removed from box and displayed. I'll probably ask for photos.

I'll consider trading the nude dolls, the doll and her outfit, or the entire set, which includes her lingerie and another pair of shoes.

My home is in the US (but I'll consider international, too), and it's non-smoking and cat-friendly.

She's back! Véronique Perrin makes her return to Integrity Toys!

Modern Comeback (Noir) Véronique
She's back! The moment I have been waiting for... Véro's return!

Her first edition is a limited W Club exclusive doll called Modern Comeback. Modern Comeback (Noir) debuts in a one-piece black lingerie outfit with matching black stockings. Rooted raven hair falls in soft waves at shoulder length. Stud earrings and black strappy sandals finish her look.
Modern Comeback Véronique (Blonde)

If you prefer a softer look, Modern Comeback (Blonde) may be the right choice for you. Her blonde hair fits her soft glimmering facial screening perfectly. Her lingerie is pink with black lace trim, black stockings, stud earrings and black strappy sandals.

For W Club Members, the lottery opened yesterday. Both dolls are limited editions of 500 dolls worldwide, retail at $90 and are scheduled to ship March 2011.
