Do you know you else likes to kitty bomb my doll photos?
Bear.
This is Rogita, on Peak's Woods Absolute Beauty body, who happens to be just about the same dimensions as Tonner Doll's American Model. She's modeling Charming Lady, the fabulous new outfit by Tonner Doll.
It's actually a pale blue, not gray, and it's a separate skirt and jacket. Simply a gorgeous outfit.
Rogita is wearing her default glass eyes and a LeekeWorld wig in Khaki (really, it's a dark green!).
And yes, that's Bear's tail there. You can see more photos, without Bear crashing the frame, on Flickr.

Nico and Dolls
By
Unknown
One of my more terrifying doll photos--and in case I ever wonder where those runs in my doll photos come from... this is Nico, with Goldie and Alice.
Don't the dolls look nervous?
I can't believe I took this photo. It makes me feel like taking a Xanax.

Why I had to put my doll boxes away

While I'm posting doll/cat photos, here is an older photo of Chanel, our really expensive ocicat.
Really, really expensive now, since she ate a lily leaf--and those are poisonous to cats. Now, we never have anything but mint and catnip in the house, unless it's silk or plastic. Aye!
Did you know they can do blood transfusions between cats these days? OMG. But we just love this girl. She greets people who come to the door.
In this photo, she is lying in a box of doll clothing, which I don't leave out anymore.

Lily Pea, helping, helping, helping

"Generally, cats stay away from my dolls." Unless I get out the camera.
This is Lily, helping herself to a Rement latte. Which reminds me... It's 3:11 PM in California. Is it too early for a martini? If so, maybe I should start with a latte.
I should just add here--I've heard from several friends who have lost a lot of weight lately, just from cutting out calorie-laden drinks. I must say, KUDOS to you! I don't think I would stand a chance at that diet. I can do "lite" drinks, a.k.a., "skinny" drinks, but not water.
Sure, water in addition to what I'm already having. But I'd do much better on a liquids-only diet.

The dolly photo bomb.

Does this happen to you?
You're trying to take semi-serious doll photos and boom! Someone uninvited shows up in your background.
It seems like every photo session I have an eager "helper."
Kisha is the doll shown above--a Peak's Woods BJD dressed in Val Zeitler and Leekeworld wig. Bear is on the coffee table, and Chanel is walking in front of her.

Crazy cat lady and Shelley
By
Unknown
That would be me.
I'll introduce Shelley, the blonde Tonner Air Stewardess centerpiece from the opening night dessert. She's a limited edition of 100, and is a brown-eyed, forward-glancing Supergirl sculpt.
I was taking photos of her the other day, and I had a little helping hand--or paw, I should say. Technically, I need to revise my doll listings when I state "my cats state away from my dolls," as one obviously is interested in them now. I keep my dolls behind glass--and you can see why.
Chanel, our two year-old ocicat, thinks she is very helpful and photogenic. (She is rather photogenic, actually.) However, she isn't always helpful when she sneaks into the photo frame.
See more photos on Flickr--most without Miss Kitty. And yes, I've hidden those feather-laden Birds from convention well. Chanel Pea knows how to open some cabinets, but hasn't mastered the doll cabinets yet!
By the way--as of this afternoon, Tonner Direct still has this doll for sale on their website for $159.

Not doll related: Meet Coco Chanel
By
Unknown
Perhaps a slight bite into the doll budget last weekend...
Meet our new ocicat, Coco Chanel, or Chanel for short. She's five months. I swore I'd never "buy" a cat, when so many are in shelters. But then, we went to a cat show in Del Mar, and they had all these cuties around.
Chanel is so lovely and playful. She's wild-looking and gorgeous. Ocicat is a breed that was started by crossing abyssinians with siamese, and then adding a bit of American short hair for "heft." And oh, is she lovely.
She sort of slinks around the house--sometimes like a lioness, sometimes like a kitten. She has big feet, and will probably be the dominant kitty soon. But she will rule with a gentle touch, I think.
See more photos of her on my Flickr account.
She's a blast--she is everyone's best friend. Nico (the dominant cat in our house, 14 months), isn't so sure when she rubs all over him and purrs. And when she rubs on you and loves you, she really tries to knock you over, like my poor five year-old Jake. It's adorable!

A Pullip and J-Doll Feast with... Lily?
By
KittyKate
On the right is a picture of a J-Doll and three mini Pullips. They are having a feast of Italian foods like manicotti and pizza. It's nice and quiet until somebody comes and "eats" everything. If you look closely, Lily is licking her lips as if she's ready to eat every single piece.
As Lily tries to get a piece of plastic food, she knocks down a Pullip named Moonstone. She also knocks down the cake she's trying to get and then sniffs it, but doesn't even bother it anymore. She goes to bother the other cats.
But before she knocks down Moonstone, she goes to sniff the J-Doll and Virgo (Virgo is the Pullip with yellow hair. ). I'm just glad I didn't put any glass on the little table or any flowers!
So sometimes it isn't a good idea to leave very breakable dolls out with a very curious cat! Otherwise, you'd have to say good bye to that doll!
I think I should've kept Lily out of the way.
