At our last 16" doll meet, one of the group members shared "vintage Tonner." I had to smile.

This lovely lady is Silver Sensation Daphne, from the 2005 Effanbee Brenda Starr line. She was a basic open edition doll, dressed in a silver swimsuit. (Thanks, Carolyn--I love her!) Here, she is dressed in DeeAnna Denton's New Look fashion from 2012 (Tonner).

While Daphne tends to be a coveted sculpt, you can often find this particular bendy-arm articulated doll for reasonable prices--close to her original $59.99 retail. If you don't have Daphne in your big-girl collection, I think you need one.

Tonner Dolls - DeeAnna Denton

For Tonner Dolls DeeAnna Denton collection, there are two new dressed dolls, two new outfits and two new basic dolls available to order. Unfortunately, none have estimated delivery dates yet, but they are available to pre-order.

Above, it's dressed doll Luncheon Date DeeAnna, green eyes and blonde rooted hair. I love her outfit. She's limited to 500 and retails for $209.99.

Below, Afternoon Cocktails is Peggy's appearance, with pale blonde rooted hair and purple eyes, $209.99 and LE500.

The two outfits available are A Day at the Races, a printed floral dress with white trim, and High Tea at the Plaza, a peach number with white embroidered organza overlay. Both are $99.99 and LE200. Both of these outfits remind me of vintage Barbie!

Two basic wigged dolls are available this year, and are limited to 500 with a retail of $134.99. All Vintage Peggy is brunette with green eyes wearing blue lingerie, and All Vintage DeeAnna is blonde with brown eyes and wearing purple.

I love this line of dolls--they each have applied lashes, and the outfits are exceptionally done. I think my favorite is Afternoon Cocktails--I love the asymmetrical look and the turban.

Tonner weekly special: Short and Sassy Peggy Harcourt

This week, Tonner Doll is offering the wonderful Peggy Harcourt Short and Sassy on special. Her usual retail is $199.99, and she's on sale for $139.99. The sale is on while supplies last or through February 8 at 5 PM EST.

She is on the curvy 16" body, and is dressed in a black, pink and celedon gown, with sheer pink gloves, pink rhinestone jewelry and black pumps. Peggy has a short black removable wig (my real-life version actually has a slightly messier style), and blue eyes with applied lashes.

She's limited to 300 dolls.

This is Nitey-Nite Peggy, a basic wigged Peggy Harcourt from the 2012 DeeAnna Denton collection, dressed in Sunset Cocktails, both by Tonner Doll Company.

This doll and outfit were some of my most highly anticipated preorders of the season, and I'm quite pleased. Peggy is on the new 16" curvy body, and I think she's channelling Joan from Mad Men. Her hair is styled like this right out of the box. Just perfect.

DeeAnna Denton new releases from Tonner Doll

Va-va-voom! DeeAnna Denton and Peggy Harcourt make a smashing entrance in this year's Fall/Holiday collection from Tonner Doll Company. I am having a really hard time narrowing down my selections, to be quite frank! All of the dolls are on the 16" curvaceous body with applied eyelashes.

Nitey-Nite Peggy is limited to 500, and retails for $109.99. She has brown eyes, applied lashes and includes a removable red wig. She includes a pink bodysuit with a chiffon robe, ribbon headband and plastic shoes. (I think she's adorable--look at her surprised expression!)

Nitey-Nite DeeAnna is limited to 500, has wigged brown hair and blue eyes. She is wearing a white bodysuit, white chiffon robe and matching ribbon headband, and molded plastic shoes. She retails for $109.99 as well.

L'Amour is limited to 300, and retails for $199.99. This is Peggy Harcourt with auburn rooted hair and green eyes, and she is dressed in a stunning pink ball gown with sparkling tulle overlay and a halter neck. She includes a petticoat, white gloves, faux pearl jewelry, and rose satin pumps.

Short and Sassy, (Mr. Tonner, are you out to get me? She is wonderful!) is limited to 300 and retails for $199.99. Another wigged Peggy with blue eyes, this lovely girl is dressed in an amazing black taffeta gown with an oversized pink and mint green bow. She includes pink stretch net gloves, rhinestone jewelry, and black taffeta pumps.

Sunset Cocktails is an outfit, limited to 200, which retails for $89.99. This gorgeous spaghetti-strap dress has a chiffon sash with beaded accents, a sheer orange jacket with white embroidery, gold beaded earrings and gold shoes.

Just wow.

DeeAnna Denton is back!

That will teach us to gossip--DeeAnna Denton and Peggy Harcourt are back in a brand new way, dressed and basic editions (now wigged), with new outfits to share with the Curvy Nu Mood dolls, Bettie and Paige. These dolls can be ordered from your favorite Tonner dealers. I've provided estimated arrival dates as available.

I Love DeeAnna, LE300 $174.99, is a dressed doll on a 16" curvaceous body, with rooted platinum hair, blue eyes with rooted eyelashes. This gorgeous girl is dressed in a lilac dotted Swiss day dress, complete with gloves and pearls.

Lunch on Park, LE300 $174.99, is a new version of Peggy Harcourt on the curvaceous 16" body. She has painted brown eyes with applied lashes and rooted copper hair. She comes in a twill suit trimmed with "fur" and a mauve ribbon. Her estimated arrival is April 20, 2012.

Wigged Basic DeeAnna Denton, LE500 $99.99, includes the wigged auburn doll with painted blue eyes. She's wearing a classic navy swimsuit. Totally reminiscent of Brenda Starr--I love her!

Peggy Harcourt Wigged Basic, LE500 $99.99, is a platinum wigged version with painted blue eyes. She includes black lingerie and a half slip.

For you fashion collectors, DeeAnna's New Look, LE200 $109.99, is a must have outfit. Based on Dior's New Look, this one-piece dress has a taffeta bodice and net skirt, rhinestone belt, rhinestone earrings, and black sling backs.

Red Hot DeeAnna, LE200 $84.99, includes a red fitted dress, leopard print wrap, matching gloves and pumps, black rhinestone necklace and matching earrings. This outfit is now in stock!

Banker's Ball, LE200 $109.99, tea-length tissue taffeta and embroidered net in classic ivory and black, with floral shoulder detail. Includes black gloves and peep toes, pearl bracelet and earrings. Estimated arrival is April 9, 2012.

Va va voom! DeeAnna Denton's newest incarnation has arrived, and I've finally taken the time for her much-deserved photoshoot.

I adore her. She's a brown-eyed (with applied eyelashes), sassy blonde, styled a la Marilyn. She's dressed in a lovely black velvet cocktail dress with a shirred chiffon waist, tied in the back with a large black bow.

Accessories include black satin pumps, a rhinestone bracelet, necklace, and "hoop" earrings.

The only things I'd add is a gorgeous satin clutch with a few rhinestones and perhaps some gold trim. And maybe some dolla bills hanging out a bit.

Oh yes--and a martini glass. Wouldn't you say?

Lady Bee in Beyond the Sea

This is my Lady Bee hybrid doll (Peak's Woods normal skin Lady Bee head on a Soulkid white skin body, about 17" tall), modeling Beyond the Sea, a DeeAnna Denton outfit by Tonner Doll Company. It also includes earrings and shoes and a doll, which I will show off later.

It's lovely and well-made--flowing pale lime chiffon with an aqua sash, sequins and beading, a rhinestone accent at the hip. It's a little long for Lady Bee, but since I don't have shoes for her, it's perfect.

The gloves are shimmery pale aqua, and the rhinestone bracelets add sparkling accents as well. The Monique Gold wig, Faith, adds to her mermaid look.

This is one reason I think collecting multiple types of dolls is lots of fun. You can see more photos of her on Flickr.
