At our last 16" doll meet, one of the group members shared "vintage Tonner." I had to smile.

This lovely lady is Silver Sensation Daphne, from the 2005 Effanbee Brenda Starr line. She was a basic open edition doll, dressed in a silver swimsuit. (Thanks, Carolyn--I love her!) Here, she is dressed in DeeAnna Denton's New Look fashion from 2012 (Tonner).

While Daphne tends to be a coveted sculpt, you can often find this particular bendy-arm articulated doll for reasonable prices--close to her original $59.99 retail. If you don't have Daphne in your big-girl collection, I think you need one.

With painting and new carpet happening, I'm emptying a doll cabinet. I'm also paring down a few of my beloved--well, we'll call them be-liked--dolls in exchange for more space and room for dolls that I really love.

Among those leaving is the gorgeous Madame du Barbie. She's a lovely deboxed Mackie girl with a fabulous Rococ sequined outfit. I still even have her original box.

Bring a lovely Peak's Woods girl home for the holidays!

If you frequent The Fashion Doll Review, you have undoubtedly seen some lovely Peak's Woods girls. In order to help with funding of further dolly / holiday purchases, I am parting with one of my own Peak's Woods girls - a Fairy of Colors Yeru.

Yeru is a charming little lady! She is an older Peak's Woods girl with the S-hook loop in her headcap and she has also yellowed a bit. In spite of her yellowing, she is very lovely. I worked a lot on buffing some of the yellow out of Yeru, and I think she is just fine as she is! She is very tightly strung, but as a result, she stands like a rock! Yeru has a beautiful custom face-up, and would love to come home with you for the holidays!

Take a peek within the next two hours on my fabulous eBay auctions - some of the dolls still don't have a single bid, and start at just $24.99, including this fabulous pivotal body Steffie-faced Pop Life Kelly.

Others include DotW India, German, Peruvian, Hispanic Barbie (she is really gorgeous!), Happy New Year Barbie from 1995 and 1996 (in the red and pink kimonos), and the 1982 Barbie & Friends gift set, including a hard-to-find PJ, screened just like Dream Date PJ, only dressed in fabulous 1980s era casuals.
