Jet Set Convention Saturday event

The W Club Luncheon on Saturday featured a gorgeous FR2 centerpiece doll. It's Tatyana's head sculpt on the newly articulated FR2 body. She's called Exceptional. Her dress and accessories are gorgeous.

Guests were also given acrylic chairs as favors, in addition to the chance to purchase this gorgeous centerpiece doll.

After the luncheon, W Club members were introduced to two new FR2 dolls, featuring the original Vanessa and Véronique head sculpts. Evermore, the new Vanessa Perrin doll, was offered as an exclusive doll to purchase for event attendees. I wish I had been there! She is gorgeous, and is the doll that would convince me to add FR2 dolls to my collection.

Already, she is listed on eBay at around $300 starting price. Some attendees have listed her for a Buy-It-Now of $380, so I doubt she will be added to my collection anytime soon.

The good news for those of us who weren't able to attend the convention this year: The FR2 -bodied Véronique doll will be offered via lottery to all W Club members in late October! Hooray! I also hope that  this isn't the last we will see of the original Vero and Vanessa head sculpts. I'd love to see them in next year's line-up.

Additionally, news of the delayed 16" W Club doll, Spring Kissed, was presented with a sneak peek of Integrity Toys' new collection, FR:16, which takes the place of the AvantGuards brand. The dolls have a redesigned body, and Spring Kissed will feature this body. Payment notices for this doll are scheduled soon.

The W Club exclusive exclusive doll: Monaco Royale

It's been announced: the first Fashion Royalty's 2011 Exclusive W Club Doll, available to all W Club members. Her name is Monaco Royale Vanessa Perrin, and she'll arrive in Fall of this year. Suggested retail is $135.

I actually think she is gorgeous. She's wearing a pale peach gown with a draped skirt and a sequined top, belted in gold. Fabulous sparkling jewelry, reminiscent of Monogram Magnifient's lovely necklace (only in gold), plus coordinating bracelets and earrings are simply wonderful. Her strappy gold sandals and martini glass finish the look.

The doll herself is a dark-haired girl with an elegant updo, and soft, pink-toned facial screening.

Renegade Dasha, W Club exclusive FR2 doll lottery!

Beginning March 21, W Club members were giving the opportunity to enter the lottery for an exclusive FR2 doll, Dasha "Renegade."

She is a limited edition of 300 dolls and retails for $175 plus shipping, handling and tax.

She is a blonde Fashion Royalty Squared body with blue eyes, and a gorgeous belted couture gown, and her accessories are scrumptious: an oversized "ruby" ring, a silver bracelet, matching chandelier earrings, and amazing beaded strappy shoes.

I'll be sure to keep you posted if I'm lucky enough to win this doll.

Flawless Elise

Some of the new FR2's are shipping out to customers, with a few coming a little later this spring.  Thanks to a friend I was able to grab a Flawless Elise, as she was sold out pretty much everywhere.  I took the time to debox her today and she's just gorgeous.  She comes in a gorgeous black dress with just enough detail to make it interesting.  She comes with a fabulous pair of shocking yellow shoes and kelly green clutch.  Jewelry includes gold and "diamond" earrings and flowered ring.

FR2 preview from Integrity Toys

Integrity Toys has revealed its new line of FR2™ (Fashion Royalty Squared) dolls at IDEX. They are available for pre-order from your favorite IT dealers now. (These dolls are a different size than regular FR bodies, and their feet have a slightly higher arch as well.) All dolls have rooted eyelashes and hair, plus removable hands for easy dressing.

The details in these promo photos are really nice--I hope the quality of the shoes, purses and accessories are at least half as good as they look! I have to confess, I've never bought a fashion doll or an outfit just for the accessories before, and I hadn't considered getting into another scale, just for the accessories. But I suppose there's a first time for everything!

Yikes--that green purse/yellow shoe/ring combo is just calling to me. I must stop looking!!

2011 WClub Registration Now Open

The WClub is now taking registrations for the upcoming year. Membership in the WClub is on an annual basis and must be renewed yearly. The current registration window is open from now until 10 am CST on January 21, 2011. This is a concrete deadline. If you miss it, you will need to wait another year to register.

What do you get for registering? Access to the exclusive WClub forums, the opportunity to purchase club exclusive dolls, and coupons for discounts at participating doll dealers are just a few of the perks that come with membership. And the good news? For the sixth year in a row, the base membership cost remains at $50.

Sneak Peek at the upcoming FR2 line

At the official WClub luncheon, we were treated to a sneak peek at the upcoming FR2 line of dolls. We were told that along with future new characters, we'd be seeing some of the facemolds that aren't used as often in the mainline move into this line.  So this is why we see Elyse Jolie here and why we will see Dominique moved over here too.  I'm wondering if we'll see Isha or Ayumi move here too.

I'm telling you, this line was VERY well received and now that people have Dasha & Elyse in their hands, they are loving the new bodies.  I honestly think when this line becomes available for preorder, that it will be sold out VERY quickly.  We were told that this line will have some great fashions and that we'll finally see the amazing shoes, jewelry and purses that have been lacking somewhat in the main FR line.

We were also informed that the FR main line will have a better price point next year (and I think that's because they may be more basic dolls and the FR2 line will be the more "souped up" line with all the bells and whistles that we're looking for).  I'm guessing price points for FR2 will be $150-200.  So here are your sneak peeks >>>

FR2, the new line

I've been wanting to do some convention reviews since arriving home, but life has gotten in the way.  Isn't that always the case?  LOL  First up I wanted to share the new FR2 line.  This new line incorporates a brand new torso sculpt along with extra articulation.  After playing and photographing these dolls the past 2 weeks, I must say I'm very impressed!  I love the extra articulation and especially the new knees.  The torso is much more realistic and will look amazing in bikinis and lingerie. 

At the convention the first FR2 doll named DASHA was released as part of the official collection.  She came dressed in a side shirred floral full length dress, pink strappy sandals and kelly green satin purse.  The second FR2 doll that popped up was ELYSE JOLIE.  She came as a centerpiece doll during the WClub luncheon.  She was sold by lottery for those that entered during the luncheon.  She came dressed in a black sleeveless dress, black double breasted cropped jacket, black lace socks and heels and a train case.  Both dolls were beautiful as they came, but you know me, I'm the fastest redresser in the west!  So those girls quickly got some new outfits and Dasha had her hair restyled.

Fashion Royalty News

First up, Integrity Toys will be unveiling a new line of dolls at the upcoming Wu Convention called "Dark Romance" taking place on October 27-30th.  This new line "FR2" (pronounced FR Squared) will debut at the official WClub Luncheon with a full presentation from the IT designers!

This line will feature the debut of “version 4.0″ of the FR body (a brand new, fully re-sculpted figure with details like you’ve never seen before!), new characters and a renewed couture style by Jason Wu. This new body will be used just for the FR2 line (Fashion Royalty dolls will continue to be made with their current body). The first product of this line will be in the convention collection!

Next up, the official registration packets were mailed to registered guests and in it was the list of dolls in this year's collection!  These dolls are only available to attendees and are limited edition sizes. No official pictures are released until after they are unveiled at the event to attendees. The dolls this year are:
