Nu FR: Monograms by Integrity Toys - IDEX release

Integrity Toys has unveiled some fabulous new dolls at IDEX this year, and I'll be doing a recap in a couple of posts. The FR:Monogram dolls are back in flying colors--the details on the clothing, accessories and facial screening are lovely! Each doll retails for $160 and is limited to 350 pieces. All of these girls are scheduled to arrive at the end of February.

Echelon is scheduled to arrive February.  Her fun, swing suit also includes a modern pleated blouse, summery sandals, a purse and oversized earrings.

Inspiration is dressed in a flowing mint gown with matching lift-off heeled shoes. Her retro-inspired auburn hair-do is tripped with a rhinestone jewel. She also includes drop earrings, a bracelet and an adorable little satin clutch.

Exaggeration uses color in a wonderful way, combining navy and taupe with color and lime. The wears a coral and taupe day dress with a modern oversized skirt with a short military navy blazer, and includes rose earrings, a three-rose brooch, a feathered and flowered hair decoration, reptilian print shoes and bag, and lime green gloves.

Admiration wears a classic white suit with a black bow trim, and includes red polkadot blouse, adorable black, white and red shoes, red purse, fabulous hat, and antiqued jewelry.

Last but not least, we have Allure, an elegant white beaded gown with a dramatic oversized red coat with white lining. This doll's look reminds me of Marilyn. She includes silver platform peep toes, silver earrings and bracelets, and a diamond ring.

Color Infusion and Monograms at the Friday Night Event

The centerpiece doll at Friday evening's event was a doll from the Color Infusion line, Psychedelic Splash. I'm thrilled to see another few dolls from this line--the two dolls from this year's collection are on their way to me.

Sure, her dress might remind you a little of the sequined numbers from the Dazzle collection, but I think she's gorgeous. I'm not sure--but she looks a little like the Erin sculpt to me.

At their tables, guests found another piece to their convention surprise--an accessories set--plus a Color Infusion doll of their own: Sunset Rave. I've heard this is a darker skinned Ayumi.

I think she's absolutely gorgeous and fun. I, for one, am not afraid of color. For those of you who know me, I have colored hair--and by colored, I mean, it changes every four weeks, and currently, it's black and turquoise. I love the bright orange of this outfit. I adore the jewelry in this set as well.

As the evening continued, Vaughn revealed the holiday Monogram collection on stage. There are three new gorgeous dolls. All will be limited editions of 300, priced at $150 each, and be released in mid to late October. (That's this month!)

Fascination
Illumination

Jubilation
I love the facial screening, the oversized and detailed gowns--to me, this is what Monograms are about--the monochromatic and colorful color schemes, and the accessories. I wonder if it's enough to get me to order them. I think the green might be my favorite--if the bodice of the gown is actually executed perfectly.

And just a note--these dolls will be featured in the winter 2011 issue of Fashion Doll Quarterly. Pre-orders will more than likely be taken starting on Monday, October 10.

Fashion Royalty @ IFDC

Dress Code by alington
Dress Code, a photo by alington on Flickr.
I should apologize for this photo collection in advance - I was selling this year at IFDC, and I just didn't have enough time to take photos in the salesroom myself. I missed so many of the dolls!

Click here to see the Flickr photo album.

I did get a chance to take a few photos of the New Closeups Fashion Royalty collection, and I may be going out a limb here, but I really like the new Vanessa. (Shoot me now!) I believe she is still available from dealers. Breaking the Mold Veronique is also interesting in person. Her facial screening is heavier than Vanessa's and more colorful than the lingerie debut. I'd like to see both dolls with their hair down, I think.

The long sold-out Scene Stealer Isha won't disappoint, either. And Adele--wow. She is classic and gorgeous--her facial screening is super soft. Eugenia is lovely, even with her super-gelled hair. Sorry I missed Korinne and Kesenia.

The Homme line is fabulous. Viktor James is a total heart throb in a Clark Kent sort of way. I wish I'd snapped a photo of Simon, but I didn't get one, for some reason. (I may have been slightly distracted.) All the guys have fabulous accessories, at least from where I stood.

The Monogram line was surprisingly sweet. Passionate was my favorite, but I don't see how you could have only one. The hair was styled differently than the promo photos, which I liked.

Did you pre-order from these lines? What do you think of Vero and Vanessa?

Magnificent Monogram

Magnificent Monogram, originally uploaded by alington.
From Integrity Toys' Monogram line, this is Magnificent. She is my first Monogram, if you can believe it.

In the box, upon opening her, I have to confess I was disappointed. I thought her face very cold, her eyes were set to wide, and her disdain was almost too much. I almost didn't remove her from the box! But I had to keep her gown, so I had to debox. (Plus is was raining, and what else calls you to deboxing dolls like a rainy day?)

After taking her out of the box, it occurred to me she is more like a mannequin than a character, and I really have become attached. Plus, with her jewelry, and her giant closed lips, she is pretty fantastic--cool, calculating, haughty look and all. I think she's pretty darn cool.

I think she's going to be staying for quite a while.

Capture of Magnificent's gown from the rear.
Could use some pressing. But really--shouldn't I do my own clothes first?
Who wouldn't be able to identify with her expression?
This photo will enlarge (I hope) if you click on it. Check out her left fingers.
