Meet my normal skin MSD Bobobie Lan with a face-up by Leah Lilly of Froggy Duds. The wig is a 5/6 Yuri wig by Monique Gold.
She's wearing a dress, necklace and headpiece by Tonner Doll Company designed for Antoinette, called Sinuous. It's a perfect fit. (Lan can wear most outfits made for the Tyler Wentworth body, but she is an even better fit for Antoinette's outfits.) Shoes are also by Tonner, for their 22" American Model dolls.
See more photos of Sinuous Lan in my Flickr photostream.
Hey: Is she easy to pose? Is she very heavy compared with sybarite? I am considering to purchase a 16 inches BJD now....Happy to see Tonner's outfit fits her.
ReplyDeleteHi Fiona,
ReplyDeleteHope I can help--I've never held a Syb before. However, Lan dirt cheap compared to one. I think she's only $145 with a factory face-up, which is not all that pleasing. (My girl has a lovely one by Leah Lilly of Froggy Duds.) She is resin, so she's got some weight to her.
A warning, though--these dolls are known for loose stringing. So, plan on restringing her (or at least tightening her strings and sueding her joints) when you get her. It's easy to do. Also, she's often in stock at Junkyspot and also at Denver Doll. If you have to order her, you may wait for 4-6 months. (Bobobie is very slow.)
I love mine. She wears a 5/6 wig, and small eyes, like 10mm. I had her eyelashes added as well, and I also blushed her body. And she is one of the few who can wear Tonner clothes. Antoinette seems to fit her best, which is fine by me. Shoes of course are too small, but I could squeeze her into 22" American Model shoes. Here knees and elbows are not double jointed, so she probably doesn't pose as well as a Sybarite.
SoulKids (by SoulDoll) can fit in 17" Athletic Body outfits (like action figures (Lara Croft) or Deanna Denton). SoulKids are double-jointed at the knees and elbows, and they are strung perfectly. But Amy had a lot of seam lines, and needed her eyelashes replaced. (I don't mind those things, though.)
HTH!
