I have started my new year's resolutions with a bang, and have listed quite a few dolls for sale on the Doll Page Show & Sell.
No, I haven't yet crossed the Steffie line, but I will soon. But check out my new listings just the same. Thanks!

Plans for the new year
By
Unknown
As 2012 comes to a close, I have a chance to look at my overcrowded dolly cabinet with an urge to change. I hate to look at my past new year resolutions and see how I've failed to complete them, but it's a new year, isn't it?
This year, I'd like to clean up my collection a little by selling a few of the dolls I have that don't get much attention. This will unfortunately include my recent FR:2 collection, and also my last Fashion Teen Poppy.
I also have a few Franklin Mint dolls I've been hanging onto for a project that I realize is just not going to happen. They have to go.
A few of my Tonners have to be sold. And then--I am overwhelmed with Steffie-faced Barbies. I am working on Volume II of Steffie: Out of the Box, but I don't have room to add my new girls. Selling a few of the girls I have would provide some extra funds for this next project.
Then, there's my long list of BJDs. I have a huge want list, and they are wonderful. I have a few resin fashion BJDs, and I wonder if they are really getting the attention they deserve, or if I should cut down on a few of them as well.
Heartless? You all would never sell a doll, much less an entire collection of dolls? I suppose that is fine--but I consider it upgrading or streamlining--trying to sell the dolls I like for the ones I truly love. And each year, it gets a little harder.

Merry Christmas to me!
By

So... I maybe did a little shopping the other day--looking for some Little Miss Matched items for a BJD girl I have (I hear their clothing fit that skinny little Doll Chateau body), and I entered to win Tonner's twelve days of Christmas drawing.
Keeping in mind that I never win anything... I actually won! And not only did I win, I won big! I won an autographed proof of the gorgeous 22" Madame Bovary American Model. This is a doll I missed out on when she was first released. She has blue inset eyes, rooted brown hair, and a fabulous period outfit.
Plus, her outfit fits my Peak's Woods Absolute Beauty BJD girls perfectly. I am absolutely thrilled!
Today is the last day to enter, and no purchase is necessary.

Pullip as Marianne
By
Unknown
I'll be posting some of my favorite Christmas gift dolls this week. I've been a little under the weather, and I haven't had a chance to do much else, so forgive some of the regurgitated photos.
This gorgeous girl is Pullip Marianne. This photo was taken in December 2010--truly a lovely doll.
You can see more photos of her on Flickr.

New York Night
By
Unknown
New York Night Cami is another new addition to my collection by Tonner Doll Company. She's limited to 300, and she's still available from your favorite Tonner dealer.
She reminds me of a modern day Cinderella, and I think she's just adorable.

Sunset Cocktails
By
Unknown
This is Nitey-Nite Peggy, a basic wigged Peggy Harcourt from the 2012 DeeAnna Denton collection, dressed in Sunset Cocktails, both by Tonner Doll Company.
This doll and outfit were some of my most highly anticipated preorders of the season, and I'm quite pleased. Peggy is on the new 16" curvy body, and I think she's channelling Joan from Mad Men. Her hair is styled like this right out of the box. Just perfect.
You can see a few more photos of Flickr. And Dreamcastle still has both the doll and outfit in stock at the best prices around.

The Parakeet

Here's a peek at Tonner Doll's Parakeet, an exclusive Cami from FAO Schwarz. She's a gorgeous raven beauty, sort of 1920s inspired.
I just adore her, and you can see more photos on Flickr.

Haute Societe
By
Unknown
So... one of the dolls I wasn't planning on keeping has sort of stuck. It's Haute Societe Veronique Perrin from IT's Tropicalia convention.
Additionally, she's come out of the box. This is her original outfit--which, I might add, many collectors find a bit dowdy.
I love the details, though. I think the piping on her trench coat quite adorable. Underneath that coat, she's wearing separates, I believe--a pleated turquoise skirt and pink and yellow blouse.
And check out the accessories--very well done: a beaded belt, three bracelets, earrings, and a terrific bag.

Beautiful Lines Momoko
By
Unknown
A new Sekiguchi Momoko was recently released on the doll line-up, Beautiful Lines. Personally, I think she is darling with those bright eyes and pale pink collar. It looks like she is sporting similar shoes, if not the same, as Silver Crescent. Overall, I can't wait until this beauty comes out in early 2013. You can purchase her from a variety of vendors, including the Petworks Global Store.
Interesting in seeing the new Momoko wake-up dolls? Check out this blog post.

Lilac Frost Poppy Parker
By
Unknown
I was nervous about W Club exclusive Lilac Frost Poppy Parker's "Japan" skin tone, but in person, I think it's perfect.
She reminds me a little of Pillow Talk from Integrity Toys debut collection in 2009.
Her hair is a (neatly gelled) flip in a golden blonde shade. She has green eyes, applied lashes and purple eyeshadow, which are set off with bubblegum pink lips.
Her lilac brocade suit is lovely and detailed, though you can see the hook closures even when the jacket is closed.
She also includes a cute white purse, hat, white heels, rhinestone earrings and a matching bracelet. I didn't bother with the white gloves--they drive me crazy!
If you didn't get a chance to pick this girl up, you can find her on eBay and the DollPage Show & Sell for around $150, which is quite reasonable for a W Club exclusive Poppy.
