What you will need:
- One ill-fitting wig
- Threaded needle
- Scissors
- 2" length of 1/4" elastic
1. At the center back of the wig, hand-stitch the center of the elastic to the inside of the wig cap.
2. Stretch each end of the elastic about twice as far as its resting length and hand-stitch to the inside of the wig cap. When the elastic is relaxed, it will "cinch" in the extra circumference in the wig cap.
3. Try the wig on your doll's head. If it still seems a little loose, un-stitch the ends of the elastic and stretch them further towards the front of the wig cap before re-stitching them. If it seems to be staying on, then you're done!
Note: I've used black elastic to blend in with my dark-colored wig, but if you're concerned about staining, use white elastic, just to be safe.
This is great, Jen! Even I could do this!
